A harsh quote, but metaphorically accurate. Stay with the flow; stopping and starting is a killer of thought. I tend to want to correct spelling, punctuation…everything that should wait until thoughts are finished. When writing poetry, the essence, for me, is in the moment, and not to think out the words before they hit the page. I like to sculpt lines before I’m finished writing….dumb approach. I’m a potter, and at times those art experiences get in my way of my writing. Every art medium is different…working through each one is key. Keep at it, work through it, and the flow will find you.
It is harsh, but it gets you thinking about your process, and what holds you back. Sounds like you’re on your way…
